The Best Place to Park your Vehicle on Campus
I will have to say that I do have the best parking on campus. This year I get handicap parking because I was in a terrible car wreck this past summer and broke my leg. I still can not walk that well and will be using handicap parking until I graduate. I haven't gotten any tickets this year. The worst palce to park on campus without a doubt is commuter west.

Time to relax and go hunting!
Words can't describe how blessed we were this year on the farm. All our crops were planted right on time and all were harvested right on time. Not every year is the same here on the farm. Farming is a gamble from one year to the next you can never tell what is gonna happen. All one can do is pray that it will and rain and the sun will shine. It is all in the hands of the Lord!! P.S. I love the smell of new green paint! ha

2010 Fall Harvest is finally over!!!!!!!
I have had mix feelings about 2010 harvest being over. I don't know if I should be happy or sad! I love the harvest it is my most favorite time of year. We are so very thankful to have gotten very crop out of the field before the rain came. This year was the best year that we have had in about 10 years. The Lord really was shining down on us this year. But the fall isn't over we just started planting winter wheat. So we are still pretty busy. With wheat prices being high as they are we decided to plant as much wheat as we could.

Harvest 2010 coming to a end!
We are in our last week of our 8 week harvest of 2010. We have about 50 acres of soybeans and 40 acres of peanut left to harvest. It has been a pretty good harvest. The dry weather has been a huge blessing. But as soon as the harvest is over fall field work is will be wide open until the wet weather sets in for the winter.

Peanut harvest is wide open!
Well we are really busy again this week! Peanut harvest is here and is going very well. It is a very slow harvest. It is not like soybean or corn where one can cut 100 acres a day. On a very good day in the peanut field we average about 25 to 30 acres a day. But the peanuts are having very solid yields so we can't complain about that. We are also still cutting beans this week, we probably lack about 300 acres of beans to cut.

Soybean Harvest 2010!
This week is wild! We are cutting soybeans and digging peanuts. The soybeans are doing extremely for dryland. They are probably cutting around 35 to 40 bushels. The peanuts are digging very well. Could not ask for any better weather conditions. I hope the nice weather just last long enough to get the crops out of the field.

Corn harvest Is looking AWESOME!
This year has been a real blessing. We have 1100 acres of corn and the harvest is running smoothly. We have cut two test plots thirty miles from one another and both averaged anywhere from 130 to 200 bushels per acre. Peanut harvest is just around the corner. We will probably start digging peanuts in two weeks. I hope that harvest is better than last year.
